After visiting Samet in Okazaki last weekend, I decided that I'll try and start reading Japanese books.
Although I can read magazines OK and I can read comics, I've never really been confident enough to read an actual Japanese book.

On the way home tonight, I picked up a Japanese book at the train station kiosk.
It's called "心ひだひだ"... sadly I still haven't figured out what it really means... so yeah, not exactly off to a good start but it's a start ne?

Anyway, it seemed like an interesting book though.
It's not a novel, just a collection of essays... I thought about jumping in the deep end and go for a long novel, but thought the better of it.
There is a short psychology/personality test just before each essay in which the author writes about her experiences and reveals her own answer to the test, and then after the essay, you get the explanation of the test.

If your lover is holding a panel with the "雨かんむり" (rain radical) on it, and you were to add in the bottom part of the kanji, which would you make it?
